Los Angeles, California - Wrightwood Records today announced the release of the new soundtrack CD, SAVING EGYPTIAN FILM CLASSICS. Award-winning composer Mark Wolfram conducted members of the Hollywood Studio Symphony in a highly emotional score that is truly evocative of the urgent situation in Egyptian film preservation today. Documentary film Writer-Director Sayed Badreya was thrilled with Mark's haunting themes and the melding of traditional middle-eastern modes, styles and instrumentation with symphonic orchestral scoring.
Throughout his multi-faceted career as an award-winning composer, arranger, orchestrator and musician, Mark has worked with many musical stars such as Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Cybill Shepherd, Joe Williams, Lena Horne, Doc Severinson and earned four Gold Records for his work with Jim Brickman. He's composed for "Another World", "Riptide", "General Hospital", numerous cartoons and award shows, and continues to compose for films, recordings, jingles and underscores, as well as the concert stage.
Following up on last year's successful CD release PIERCING THE CELLULOID VEIL, SAVING EGYPTIAN FILM CLASSICS (WRCD-1911) is being distributed internationally on the web. Interested parties may sample excerpts from the score and order the CD online at www.markwolfram.com.
